![]() Amy Dibben graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2001 with a first class degree in American Studies. After working in the heritage sector and then as a teacher for a number of years she decided to follow in the footsteps of her artist father, Andrew Dibben, and pursue her love of art. Amy’s work focuses on the human figure and the tradition of narrative art. Her detailed watercolours are inspired by the work of classic illustrators such as Edmund Dulac and Arthur Rackham, and by the Pre-Raphaelite artists whose work also relied heavily on myth and legend. Amy’s home county of Norfolk, with its dramatic skies and endless horizons, has also been a strong influence on her work. Her oil paintings capture the light and space, and occasionally flora and fauna, of the beautiful North Norfolk landscape. Amy has shown her paintings in Norwich and North Norfolk, and sold work this spring at the RI Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. ![]() |
